Executive Chef - Indian Cuisine
We are seeking a highly skilled Executive Chef with a passion for Indian cuisine to join our team in Acre. As the head of our kitchen, you will be responsible for creating and overseeing the preparation of traditional and modern Indian dishes. Your creativity, leadership, and attention to detail will be essential in maintaining our high standards of quality and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and develop menus featuring a variety of Indian dishes
- Source high-quality ingredients and oversee food purchasing
- Supervise kitchen staff and manage their training and development
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Monitor food costs, maintain inventory levels, and control waste
- Collaborate with restaurant management to create special dishes or menus for events or promotions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen at all times
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef specializing in Indian cuisine
- Strong knowledge of traditional Indian cooking techniques and flavor profiles
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Proven track record of maintaining high food quality standards
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in budgeting, cost control, and inventory management
- Fluent in English (knowledge of other languages is an asset)
- Must be willing to relocate to Acre if not already based there
Salary: $900 per month (negotiable) plus accommodation provided.
