IT Support Specialist - Svalbard
As an IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to our clients in Svalbard. Your main duties will include troubleshooting software and hardware issues, installing and configuring computer systems, and maintaining computer networks. You should have a strong understanding of computer systems and networks, as well as excellent problem-solving skills. This is a contract position with accommodation provided. Biometric passport is preferred but not required.

Your main responsibilities will include:
- Providing technical support to clients in Svalbard via phone, email or in person
- Troubleshooting and resolving software and hardware issues
- Installing and configuring computer systems, including operating systems and applications
- Setting up user accounts and permissions on network systems
- Maintaining computer networks by performing routine updates and backups
- Assisting with the setup of new equipment or technology for clients
- Documenting all technical procedures and solutions for future reference

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience working as an IT Support Specialist or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of computer systems, operating systems, applications, and network infrastructure
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically under pressure
- Good communication skills for interacting with clients of all levels of technical knowledge
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Biometric passport preferred but not required
