Executive Chef - Fine Dining (Bergen, Norway)



As an Executive Chef at our fine dining restaurant in Bergen, Norway, you will be responsible for overseeing the culinary operations and leading a team of talented chefs to provide exceptional dining experiences for our guests. Your passion for food and creativity will be reflected in every dish you create, while ensuring the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and design innovative menus that showcase local ingredients and reflect current culinary trends
- Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and plating
- Train and mentor kitchen staff to maintain high levels of productivity and efficiency
- Ensure all food safety standards are met and maintained at all times
- Collaborate with management to control food costs and maintain budgetary guidelines
- Maintain inventory levels of food supplies and equipment, ordering as needed
- Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure consistency in taste, portion size, and presentation
- Develop relationships with local suppliers to ensure the freshest ingredients are always available

Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role as an Executive Chef or Head Chef in a fine dining establishment
- Extensive knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
- Ability to create innovative dishes while maintaining traditional flavors
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
