Contract Librarian in Mecca, Saudi Arabia


We are seeking a skilled and experienced Librarian to join our team on a contract basis in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. As a Contract Librarian, you will be responsible for managing our library and providing excellent customer service to our diverse community of users. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with previous experience as a librarian who is looking for a short-term contract role.

Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the library including cataloging, circulation, and collection development
- Assist users with reference and research inquiries
- Plan and implement library programs and events
- Maintain the library's physical space and ensure a welcoming atmosphere for all users
- Train and supervise library staff and volunteers
- Develop partnerships with local organizations to promote the library's services

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience working as a librarian
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Knowledge of current trends in library services and technology

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a multicultural environment
- Familiarity with Arabic language materials
- Knowledge of Islamic literature and culture

This is a contract position with an attractive salary of 1400$ per month. We welcome applications from Indian nationals who have their own visa or are eligible for obtaining one.
