Library Manager


The Library Manager will oversee the daily operations of our library located in Mecca. This position is open to candidates of any nationality with strong English language skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team, developing and implementing library policies, and ensuring the library meets the needs of its users.

Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of librarians and support staff, providing guidance and support as needed
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for the library's operations
- Ensure that materials are properly cataloged, organized, and accessible to users
- Stay up-to-date on new technologies and resources to enhance the library's offerings
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to understand their needs and provide relevant resources
- Plan and oversee events, programs, and workshops to promote literacy and engage the community
- Manage the budget for purchasing new materials, equipment, and services
- Maintain a welcoming atmosphere for all users by enforcing library rules and regulations
- Handle any issues or complaints from users in a professional manner

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum of 3 years experience working in a library setting
- Strong knowledge of library systems, cataloging, classification, and information retrieval
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Ability to manage a team effectively
- Knowledge of current trends in libraries including digital resources
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Experience working with diverse populations is preferred

Salary: $1600 per month
