Carpenter - Mombasa, Kenya

We are currently hiring a skilled Carpenter to join our team in Mombasa, Kenya. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and other materials. This is a perfect opportunity for someone with experience in carpentry looking for a part-time job.

Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints to plan the layout of construction
- Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using rulers, scales or drawing instruments
- Cut wood or other materials to specified measurements using hand or power tools
- Install structures and fixtures such as windows, frames, floorings, trim or hardware using carpenter's hand or power tools
- Follow safety procedures while operating equipment and handling materials
- Communicate with clients to understand their needs and provide quality service

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a carpenter or similar role
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Knowledge of woodworking tools and techniques
- Good understanding of basic math skills and measurements
- Physical stamina to handle long periods of standing, climbing, bending and lifting heavy objects
- Excellent communication skills in English

Salary:
The salary for this position is $1700 per month.

This job is located in Mombasa, Kenya.
