Librarian for a Public Library in Salalah, Egypt

We are hiring a librarian to join our team at a public library in Salalah, Egypt. As a librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing the library's collection of books, periodicals, and other materials. Your main duties will include cataloguing, shelving, and maintaining the library's database. You will also assist patrons with finding materials and provide research assistance when needed.

The ideal candidate for this position should have a degree in Library Science or a related field. Previous experience working in a library setting is preferred but not required. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and computer proficiency are essential for this role.

In addition to managing the library's collection, you will also be responsible for planning and coordinating events and programs for the community. This may include book clubs, author visits, and other educational activities. Excellent communication skills and a passion for promoting literacy are important qualities for this aspect of the job.
