Pastry Chef
We are currently seeking an experienced Pastry Chef to join our team at a high-end bakery in the bustling city of Os, Norway. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing a variety of delicious pastries and desserts with precision and creativity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare pastries and desserts for the bakery according to established recipes
- Train and supervise junior pastry chefs and kitchen staff
- Ensure all products are made to the highest quality standards
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Collaborate with other chefs and staff to develop new menu items
- Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role
- Degree or certification in Culinary Arts or related field
- Knowledge of various baking techniques and ingredients
- Excellent time-management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Creativity and attention to detail in food presentation
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
