A metal worker is responsible for shaping, cutting, and joining various types of metal to create structures, products, and components. They use specialized tools and techniques to manipulate metal materials such as steel, aluminum, and copper to meet specific design requirements.

The ideal candidate for this position should have experience working with different types of metal and be proficient in using tools such as welders, grinders, and shears. They should also have a strong understanding of safety protocols when working with metal materials.

As a metal worker, you will be responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints or design plans to determine the specifications of the project. You will then use your skills and expertise to cut, bend, shape, or weld the metal pieces accordingly. Attention to detail is crucial in this role to ensure the final product meets the required dimensions and tolerances.

In addition to technical skills, we are looking for a candidate who is physically fit and able to work on their feet for extended periods. This role may involve lifting heavy objects or standing in awkward positions while performing tasks. Therefore, physical strength and stamina are essential.

The ability to work well in a team environment is also crucial as metal workers often collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites or in manufacturing facilities. Good communication skills are essential for understanding project requirements and coordinating tasks with other team members.
