Head Pastry Chef
As the Head Pastry Chef at our pastry shop in Bergen, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our pastry department. Your creativity and expertise in creating delicious pastries will play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of our shop.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and design new pastry recipes based on current trends and customer preferences
- Train and supervise pastry chefs, ensuring that they adhere to our quality standards
- Create and maintain inventory of ingredients, equipment, and supplies
- Oversee the preparation and production of all pastries, including cakes, tarts, cookies, and other confections
- Ensure that all pastries are prepared and presented according to our shop's standards for taste, appearance, and freshness
- Collaborate with other departments to plan special events or promotions featuring your pastries
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role
- Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred
- Extensive knowledge of various pastry techniques and ingredients
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate a team
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills
