Database Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator to join our team in Utena. In this role, you will be responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of our company's databases. You will work closely with the IT team to ensure that our databases are properly maintained and optimized for efficient data retrieval.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and maintain database systems
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies
- Ensure data security and integrity through proper access controls and regular backups
- Collaborate with developers to design efficient database structures for new applications
- Conduct database tuning to improve performance
- Monitor database capacity and plan for future growth

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proven experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Proficient in SQL language and database management systems (MySQL, Oracle, etc.)
- Experience with database design, normalization, indexing, and optimization
- Knowledge of data backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues quickly
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent organization skills

Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Database Administration (e.g. Oracle Certified Professional)
- Experience with cloud-based databases
- Understanding of Agile methodologies
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Java or Python

This is a contract job with a salary of 1500$ per month. We welcome applications from Indian or Filipino candidates who are fluent in English.
