Pastry Chef:
A luxury hotel located in the charming city of Fonvieille is seeking an experienced and creative Pastry Chef to lead our pastry department. As the Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and executing high-quality desserts and pastries that meet our guests' expectations. You will work closely with our culinary team to develop new menu items, maintain inventory and ensure compliance with food safety standards. We are looking for a passionate individual who can bring innovative ideas to the table while maintaining the highest level of quality in all pastry-related aspects.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of pastry chefs, ensuring efficient and effective operation of the pastry kitchen
- Create new and unique dessert offerings that align with our brand image and guest preferences
- Train, mentor, and develop pastry team members to maintain high levels of productivity and quality
- Oversee daily production schedules to ensure timely delivery of pastries to all outlets
- Monitor inventory levels for necessary ingredients and supplies, placing orders as needed
- Maintain food safety standards at all times, including proper storage, labeling, and handling of all pastry products
- Collaborate with other chefs in menu planning, incorporating seasonal ingredients and current trends into dessert offerings
- Ensure cleanliness and organization in the pastry kitchen at all times
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role in a high-end establishment
- Extensive knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Creative mindset with a passion for developing new dessert concepts
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train a team
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Degree in culinary arts or relevant field preferred
Salary: $1500/month (negotiable based on experience)
Location: Fonvieille (accommodation provided if necessary)
