Executive Pastry Chef
We are seeking a talented and experienced Executive Pastry Chef to join our team at a luxury hotel in La-Condamine. As the Executive Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our pastry department, including creating new menus, training and supervising staff, and maintaining high quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement creative and unique pastry menus for our hotel's various dining outlets
- Train and supervise pastry staff to ensure consistency in both taste and presentation
- Ensure that all food safety and sanitation standards are met within the department
- Collaborate with other departments, such as the kitchen and front of house, to ensure a seamless dining experience for guests
- Manage inventory and ordering of supplies to maintain cost effectiveness
- Stay updated on current industry trends and incorporate them into menu development
- Maintain a positive working relationship with suppliers to ensure the best quality ingredients are used in our pastries
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Pastry Chef in a luxury hotel or fine dining restaurant setting
- Extensive knowledge of different pastry techniques and ability to create visually stunning desserts
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate a team
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Food safety certification is preferred
Salary for this position is $1300 per month. As an international company, we welcome candidates from all nationalities. However, candidates must possess valid work permits for La-Condamine.
