Junior Architectural Technologist
As a Junior Architectural Technologist, you will be responsible for assisting in the design and development of architectural projects. This includes creating technical drawings, preparing construction documents, and collaborating with architects and engineers to ensure the accuracy and functionality of designs. You will work closely with senior technologists to learn the necessary skills and gain experience in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the creation of technical drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Prepare construction documents, including detailed plans, elevations, sections, and specifications
- Conduct site surveys and produce accurate measurements for design purposes
- Collaborate with architects and engineers to ensure designs meet project requirements and comply with building codes
- Research materials and products to determine their suitability for specific projects
- Attend meetings with clients to discuss project details and provide updates on progress
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends, technology advancements, and building regulations
- Support senior technologists in project management tasks as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Architectural Technology or a related field
- Proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit)
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate technical drawings
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team
- Eagerness to learn new skills and take on new challenges
Preferred:
- Previous internship or co-op experience in an architectural firm or related industry
- Familiarity with sustainable design principles
- Knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modeling) software
Location: Oslo, Norway (Preference given to candidates currently residing in Oslo or willing to relocate)
Salary: 1500$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
Employment Type: Full-time (40 hours per week)
Accommodation: Company-provided accommodation may be available for candidates relocating from abroad
Visa: Candidates must hold a valid biometric passport and be eligible to work in Norway
Start Date: Immediate (Urgent position)
