Pastry Chef
A luxury hotel in Mauren is seeking a skilled and creative Pastry Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating delicious and visually appealing desserts, pastries, and breads. The Pastry Chef will be responsible for overseeing all pastry production, including menu planning, ordering ingredients, and managing staff. The successful candidate must have strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
- Create unique and innovative dessert menu items that align with the hotel's overall culinary concept
- Manage all aspects of pastry production, including ordering ingredients, recipe development, and plating presentations
- Train and develop pastry staff to ensure consistency in quality and presentation
- Maintain high levels of cleanliness and sanitation in the pastry kitchen area
- Monitor inventory levels and control food costs
- Collaborate with other members of the culinary team to create cohesive menus for special events
- Stay current on industry trends and techniques in order to continuously improve skills and offerings
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, flavor combinations, and plating presentations
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, mentor, and motivate staff
- Attention to detail with a focus on quality and consistency
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English
Salary: $1500 per month (negotiable based on experience)
Location: Mauren, India (open to all nationalities)
