We are seeking a Junior Librarian to join our team at the Mombasa Public Library. As a Junior Librarian, you will assist in organizing and maintaining library materials, assisting patrons with research needs, and promoting library programs and services. This is an excellent opportunity for an Egyptian national who is fluent in English and looking to gain experience in the field of librarianship.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in the organization and maintenance of library materials, including shelving books, cataloging new materials, and weeding outdated items
- Provide reference and research assistance to library patrons
- Promote library programs and services through outreach efforts to schools and community organizations
- Help with circulation duties such as checking out books and processing returns
- Maintain a welcoming environment for library patrons by enforcing rules of conduct and addressing any concerns or complaints

Requirements:
- Egyptian nationality preferred
- Fluent in English
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Familiarity with library software systems is a plus

Salary: $1700 per month
