Head Chef - Alta, Norway


We are hiring a skilled and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team at our restaurant in Alta, Norway. As a Head Chef, you will be responsible for creating and executing menus, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring the quality and consistency of all dishes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and design menus that reflect the restaurant's concept and vision
- Source high-quality ingredients from local suppliers and maintain proper inventory levels
- Lead, train, and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations and high-quality food production
- Monitor food quality and presentation to maintain the restaurant's standards
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Collaborate with management to plan special events or promotions
- Control food costs by accurately forecasting needs, managing waste, and implementing cost-saving measures

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a high-volume restaurant setting
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor team members
- Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, flavor profiles, and current food trends
- Creativity in menu development while also understanding the importance of cost control
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely execution of orders
- Fluent English language skills (Norwegian language skills preferred but not required)
