We are in need of a reliable and friendly cashier to join our team at our busy retail store in Faro. As a cashier, you will be responsible for processing customer purchases, handling cash transactions, and maintaining accurate records of sales. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills and be able to handle high volumes of customers efficiently.

Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and assist them with their purchases
- Scan and process items accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash transactions and provide correct change to customers
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Keep track of inventory levels and restock shelves as needed
- Resolve any customer complaints or issues in a professional manner
- Keep accurate records of daily sales and transactions

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a cashier or in retail is preferred but not required
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations calmly
- Strong math skills for accurate cash handling and calculating totals
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of computer systems for processing transactions

We offer competitive pay at $1800 per month plus benefits. This is a contract position that requires candidates to have their own visa for working in Portugal.
