Instrument Technician for Oil and Gas Industry in Al Ahmadi, Kuwait


We are hiring an experienced Instrument Technician to join our team in Al Ahmadi, Kuwait. As an Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing and installing a variety of electrical and electronic instruments used in oil and gas production facilities. Your main duties will include troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, conducting regular inspections, and performing necessary repairs or replacements. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety standards and maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in instrumentation technology, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections on various instruments such as flow meters, pressure transmitters, controllers, analyzers, etc.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform necessary repairs or replacements as needed.
- Conduct calibration and testing of instruments to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report any issues or concerns to the supervisor.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with company policies at all times.
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to improve processes and resolve complex technical problems.
- Keep up-to-date with industry advancements and participate in training programs as needed.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in instrumentation technology preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Instrument Technician in the oil and gas industry.
- Strong knowledge of various instruments used in oil production facilities.
- Proficiency in reading technical diagrams and manuals.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Good communication skills (both written and verbal) in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Must be physically fit to perform manual tasks related to the job.
