Preservation Architect

A renowned architecture firm in Braga is seeking a talented and experienced Preservation Architect to join our team. This position requires a strong understanding of historic preservation principles and experience in architectural design and documentation. The ideal candidate will have a passion for preserving cultural heritage and be able to work with a range of stakeholders to ensure the successful restoration and conservation of historic buildings.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct site visits and assessments of historic buildings
- Research the history, materials, and construction techniques of buildings
- Develop preservation plans that adhere to local and international standards
- Create detailed architectural drawings and documentation for restoration projects
- Work with contractors, engineers, and other professionals to ensure the successful implementation of preservation plans
- Collaborate with clients, government agencies, and community groups to address any concerns or issues related to the preservation project

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in historic preservation projects
- Strong knowledge of historic preservation principles, techniques, and materials
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp or other architectural software
- Excellent communication skills including written reports and presentations
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively with a team
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and zoning laws
