Data Mining Analyst

We are seeking a skilled Data Mining Analyst to join our team in Atlanta. As a Data Mining Analyst, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing and interpreting large sets of data to identify patterns and trends that can inform business decisions and strategies. Your role will involve working closely with various departments to understand their data needs and develop efficient methods for data extraction, cleaning, and analysis. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex data findings in a clear and concise manner.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collecting, organizing and analyzing large datasets using statistical methods.
- Identifying patterns and trends in data to provide insights that support decision-making.
- Collaborating with various departments to understand their data needs.
- Developing efficient methods for data extraction, cleaning, and analysis.
- Communicating complex data findings in a clear and concise manner through visualizations or reports.
- Maintaining accurate documentation of data sources, methodologies, and analysis results.
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends in data mining techniques.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Mining Analyst or similar role.
- Proficient in statistical software such as R or Python.
- Strong understanding of database structures and query languages (SQL).
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and interpret large datasets.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify patterns and trends in complex data sets.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear manner.
- Proven experience working on multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.

Salary: $1200 per month
Location: Atlanta (ability to work remotely is possible)
Contract type: Full-time contract (possibility for extension)
Experience level: Entry-level (no prior experience required)
