Job Title: Contract Librarian (La-Condamine)


A contract librarian is needed for our library in La-Condamine. As a contract librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing the library's collection, assisting patrons with research and reference inquiries, and promoting library services and resources to the community. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a library setting, strong communication and customer service skills, and a passion for literature and learning.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the library's collection by cataloging, shelving, and weeding materials
- Assist patrons with research and reference inquiries in person or online
- Plan and implement programs and events to promote library services to the community
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting patrons with finding materials, using technology, or answering questions
- Collaborate with other librarians to develop new services and resources for the community
- Stay up-to-date on current trends in literature, technology, and best practices in librarianship

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a library setting
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Proficient in using technology for research purposes

Salary:
The salary for this contract position is $1000 per month.
