Preservation Architect (Kaunas, Lithuania)
We are hiring a Preservation Architect to join our team in Kaunas, Lithuania. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historical buildings and structures while adhering to conservation and restoration principles.
Key responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough assessments of historical buildings and structures to determine necessary preservation and restoration work
- Developing preservation plans and strategies in accordance with conservation principles
- Collaborating with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to ensure the successful execution of preservation projects
- Monitoring the progress of preservation projects and making adjustments as needed
- Ensuring all preservation work is done in compliance with local building codes and regulations
- Managing project budgets and timelines
- Researching historical documentation, materials, and techniques for accurate restoration work
- Maintaining accurate records of all project details, including materials used and labor costs
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in historic preservation or restoration projects
- Strong knowledge of conservation principles and techniques
- Ability to read blueprints, sketches, and technical drawings
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or other architectural software
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Biometric passport or willingness to obtain one
