Fitter - Maintenance Technician

The Fitter - Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of mechanical equipment in a fast-paced industrial setting. This full-time position requires a highly skilled individual with experience in fitting, machining and welding. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of safety procedures and possess excellent troubleshooting skills.

Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment such as pumps, motors, and conveyors
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks on a regular basis to ensure optimal functioning of machinery
- Use precision tools and measuring devices to ensure accurate fitting of parts
- Weld or fabricate new parts as necessary to repair or improve equipment
- Keep detailed records of work performed and report any issues or concerns to management
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures while working with potentially hazardous machinery

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in fitting, machining, or welding in an industrial setting
- Strong knowledge of mechanical equipment repair and maintenance techniques
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics
- Experience using precision tools and measuring devices
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Basic computer skills for record keeping purposes
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Salary:
This position offers a competitive salary of $1500 per month.

Location:
This position is located in Os, Norway. While not required, preference will be given to Norwegian nationals or those with existing work permits in Norway.
