Blast Furnace Operator

We are in need of a skilled Blast Furnace Operator to join our team in Malindi. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating and monitoring blast furnaces, as well as a strong understanding of the iron and steel manufacturing process. This role involves working with high temperatures and heavy machinery, so physical strength and stamina are essential. The ability to work well under pressure and follow strict safety procedures is crucial. As a Blast Furnace Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our blast furnace, which is a key component of our steel production process.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor the blast furnace to ensure it runs smoothly and efficiently
- Monitor temperature, pressure, and flow rates to maintain optimal conditions for production
- Adjust controls as needed to maintain proper levels
- Inspect equipment regularly for any signs of wear or malfunction
- Troubleshoot issues that may arise during operation
- Follow strict safety protocols at all times
- Keep detailed records of production data and equipment maintenance
- Work closely with other team members to coordinate tasks and ensure timely production

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification preferred
- At least 2 years of experience working as a Blast Furnace Operator
- Strong understanding of iron and steel manufacturing processes
- Physical strength and stamina to work in hot environments with heavy machinery
- Ability to follow safety protocols at all times
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment

Salary:
The salary for this position starts at $1700 per month.

City Preference:
While we would prefer candidates located in Malindi or nearby areas, we are open to considering candidates from other locations who are willing to relocate.

Accommodation:
This position does not include accommodation. Candidates must arrange for their own housing in Malindi.
