Preservation Architect
As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historical buildings and structures. You will work closely with clients, historians, and other professionals to ensure that the preservation and restoration process is carried out accurately and efficiently.
Your main duties will include conducting site visits to assess the condition of historical structures, developing preservation plans and strategies, overseeing construction projects, and coordinating with contractors and suppliers. You will also be responsible for conducting research on building materials and techniques used in historical periods.
To be successful in this role, you must have a degree in architecture or a related field, along with previous experience in historic preservation. Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations is also required. Excellent communication skills are essential as you will be required to liaise with various stakeholders throughout the preservation process.
This job is based in Acre, a city known for its rich history and cultural heritage. While proficiency in English is preferred, fluency in Hebrew or Arabic would also be beneficial. This job does not require any previous experience or provide accommodation; however, it does require candidates to have their own visa or work permit.
