Indian Executive Chef in Nakuru, Kenya
We are seeking a talented and experienced Indian Executive Chef to join our team in Nakuru, Kenya. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the kitchen and ensuring the highest quality of food is served to our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and develop menus based on authentic Indian cuisine while also catering to local tastes and preferences
- Create and maintain a budget for the kitchen, including purchasing ingredients and supplies
- Train and manage kitchen staff to ensure consistency in food preparation and presentation
- Monitor food costs and make adjustments as needed to maintain profitability
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
- Maintain inventory levels and order ingredients as needed
- Collaborate with other departments to plan special events or promotions that feature Indian cuisine
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef, preferably in an Indian restaurant or hotel setting
- Extensive knowledge of Indian cuisine, including regional variations and techniques
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team and maintain a positive work environment
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of budgeting, inventory management, and cost control methods
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Salary: 1300$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
