Junior Preservation Architect - Alta, Norway
A reputable architectural firm in Alta, Norway is seeking a highly motivated and talented Junior Preservation Architect to join our team. As a key member of our preservation team, you will work closely with senior architects and consultants to provide design, planning, and technical support for historic preservation projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or entry-level professional to gain valuable experience in the field of preservation architecture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with senior architects and consultants on all phases of historic preservation projects
- Conduct research and analysis of historical buildings, sites, and structures
- Prepare drawings, specifications, and reports for preservation projects
- Attend site visits and assist with documentation and condition assessments
- Assist with project coordination including scheduling, budgeting, and communication with clients
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices in historic preservation
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or related field
- Strong understanding of architectural design principles and theory
- Knowledge of historic preservation techniques and practices preferred but not required
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp or other 3D modeling software
- Excellent research and analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to effectively communicate ideas both verbally and visually
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
