Salary: $1200 per month


A reputable construction company in Malindi is seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our team. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Measure and mark cutting lines on materials according to blueprints or drawings
- Install structures and fixtures such as windows, frames, floorings, and trim using hand and power tools
- Study specifications in blueprints or sketches to determine materials required and the methods needed to complete the project
- Shape or cut materials using hand tools, machines or power saws
- Follow safety procedures when operating equipment and working on construction sites
- Maintain tools and equipment in good condition
- Work closely with other team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Carpenter (minimum of 3 years)
- Ability to read blueprints and follow technical instructions
- Knowledge of different carpentry techniques and methods of installation/repair
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50lbs) and work at heights if needed
- Good understanding of mathematics for measuring materials accurately
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
- Must be able to work independently or as part of a team

Salary:
The salary for this position is $1200 per month. This is a full-time position with potential for overtime hours.
