Contract Executive Chef
We are in search of a talented and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team at our luxury resort in Fonvieille. As the Contract Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our kitchen operations, including menu creation, food preparation, staff management, and ensuring high quality and consistent dishes are served to our guests.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef in a fine dining establishment
- Extensive knowledge and experience with various cuisines, cooking techniques and flavor profiles
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage a team and delegate tasks effectively
- Experience with menu planning and cost control measures
- Creativity in developing new dishes while also maintaining classics on the menu
- Attention to detail and high standards for presentation and food quality
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop, and create menus that showcase the best of local ingredients while also catering to dietary restrictions or preferences
- Oversee all aspects of food preparation, from ordering ingredients to cooking techniques to plating presentations
- Manage kitchen staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Maintain inventory levels and ensure proper storage of all ingredients following health code standards
- Implement cost control measures to stay within budget while still providing high quality dishes
- Collaborate with other departments such as front of house staff and event planners to ensure smooth operations
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and incorporate new techniques or ingredients into menu creation
- Ensure compliance with all health code regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area
This is a contract position with a salary of $1200 per month. Accommodation will be provided for the duration of the contract.
