Job Title: Librarian


We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Librarian with experience in managing library collections and providing excellent customer service. This position will be based in Bergen, Norway.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and organize library collections, including books, periodicals, and digital resources
- Catalogue new materials and maintain accurate records of existing items
- Assist patrons with locating and accessing information
- Provide reference services, research assistance, and instruction to library users
- Develop and implement programs to promote library resources and services
- Maintain a welcoming and user-friendly atmosphere for patrons of all ages
- Train and supervise library staff members in daily operations and customer service skills
- Stay updated on current trends in library science, technology, and information literacy

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a librarian or related role
- Familiarity with biometric passport systems is preferred but not required
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly attitude towards patrons of all ages
- Proficiency in using library databases, online search tools, and other technology for research purposes
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Salary:
Starting salary for this position is $1400 per month.
