Executive Chef
We are a renowned hotel located in Sharjah, seeking an experienced and highly skilled Executive Chef to join our dynamic team. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and ensuring high quality and standards are maintained.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain menus that meet the hotel's standards and guest expectations
- Ensure food quality and presentation is consistently excellent
- Monitor food costs and maintain budgeted food cost percentages
- Train, supervise, and evaluate kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations
- Create work schedules for kitchen staff and manage their time off requests
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment at all times
- Oversee inventory control and ordering of supplies as needed
- Collaborate with other departments to plan special events or promotions
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef in a reputable hotel or restaurant
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train staff effectively
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and international cuisines
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in budgeting, cost control, and inventory management
- Fluent in English (Arabic language skills is a plus)
- Able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
