Truck Driver for Contract Position in Akron, OH


Our trucking company is currently seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team on a contract basis in Akron, Ohio. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods across the country. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle with a capacity of at least 26,000 pounds
- Transport goods from one location to another in a timely and efficient manner
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any issues or concerns
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Communicate with dispatchers to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Keep accurate records of hours worked, miles driven, and fuel consumption
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the truck

Requirements:
- Valid CDL license with at least 2 years of experience driving commercial vehicles
- Clean driving record with no history of accidents or violations
- Ability to pass a drug test and background check
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently
- Must be physically fit and able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Familiarity with GPS devices and electronic logging systems preferred

Compensation:
