Job Title: Restaurant Manager
We are hiring a skilled Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations of our restaurant in Funchal. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of managing a successful restaurant.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the restaurant, including but not limited to staff management, inventory control, and customer service
- Create and maintain work schedules for staff to ensure smooth operation of the restaurant
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ensuring that all necessary items are stocked and readily available
- Train and supervise staff to ensure high-quality service is consistently provided
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new menu items and specials
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Restaurant Manager or in a similar role
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate staff
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures
- Proven track record of managing costs, increasing revenue, and maintaining profit margins
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations while maintaining composure
- Fluency in English (Portuguese is an asset)
