English Teacher


As an English Teacher at our school in Malindi, Kenya, you will be responsible for creating a positive learning environment for students of all levels and abilities. Your main duty will be to plan, prepare and deliver engaging English lessons that meet the needs of our diverse student body. You will also be expected to assess student progress, provide timely feedback and support their language development. This full-time position is ideal for students or individuals seeking a dynamic teaching opportunity in a beautiful coastal city. No previous teaching experience or fluency in English is required. Salary starts at 1600$ per month.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality English lessons that are engaging and interactive
- Create a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and promotes language development
- Assess student progress through a variety of methods such as exams, projects, and presentations
- Provide timely feedback to students on their performance and areas for improvement
- Collaborate with other teachers to develop curriculum materials and share best practices
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians about their child's progress and any concerns that may arise
- Attend staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school events as required

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (TEFL/TESOL certification is an advantage)
- Excellent command of the English language (fluency preferred)
- Passion for teaching and working with students of different ages, backgrounds, and abilities
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles
- Strong classroom management skills
