Hotel Sales Manager

The Hotel Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales and revenue for our hotel in Faro, Portugal. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication and negotiation abilities, and a deep understanding of the hospitality industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of achieving sales targets and building strong relationships with clients. They will also be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies, managing the sales team, and identifying new business opportunities. This is a fast-paced and dynamic role that requires someone with a passion for hospitality and a drive to succeed in a competitive market.

As the Hotel Sales Manager, your main responsibilities will include:

- Developing and implementing effective sales strategies to increase hotel revenue
- Managing the sales team to ensure they are achieving their targets
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients to secure repeat business
- Identifying new business opportunities through networking, research, and market analysis
- Representing the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and conferences
- Negotiating contracts with clients to secure profitable deals
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure excellent customer service delivery
- Monitoring competitors' activities and adjusting strategies accordingly
- Preparing reports on sales performance, market trends, and potential new markets

Qualifications:

- A minimum of 3 years' experience in hotel sales or a related field
- Excellent communication skills in English (Portuguese would be an advantage)
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively
- Ability to lead and motivate a team towards success
- In-depth knowledge of the hospitality industry and current market trends
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field (preferred)
