Academic Librarian



As an Academic Librarian, you will be responsible for managing the library resources and services to support the academic needs of students and faculty. You will work in a university setting, specifically in Utena, and will be expected to have a strong understanding of the Indian education system. This is a part-time position without accommodation.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain collections of books, journals, electronic resources, and other materials relevant to the curriculum
- Assist students and faculty with locating research materials and providing instruction on effective use of library resources
- Manage circulation services, including borrowing and returning items
- Organize library events such as workshops, lectures, or book clubs
- Collaborate with faculty to integrate information literacy into curriculum
- Oversee budget for library acquisitions
- Train and supervise library staff in day-to-day operations

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Knowledge of Indian education system preferred
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Strong customer service skills
- Familiarity with electronic databases and library software systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Biometric passport for security clearance purposes

Salary:
This position offers a salary of 1100$ per month.
