Experienced Pastry Chef
Our busy restaurant in Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Pastry Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating delicious and visually appealing desserts, as well as experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and executing dessert menus, managing inventory and ordering supplies, and training and supervising pastry assistants.
Responsibilities:
- Create and prepare desserts in accordance with restaurant standards
- Develop new and innovative dessert recipes
- Maintain inventory of pastry supplies and order as needed
- Train and supervise pastry assistants to ensure high quality standards are met
- Monitor food costs and assist with menu pricing
- Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-volume restaurant
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Knowledge of various pastry techniques, including baking, decorating, and plating
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train others effectively
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Salary: $1600 per month (negotiable based on experience)
Location: Los Angeles, United States (preference for Indian candidates)
