Pastry Chef - Indian Cuisine
We are seeking a skilled and creative Pastry Chef with expertise in Indian cuisine to join our team in Los Angeles. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious and visually stunning desserts and pastries that reflect the flavors and traditions of Indian cuisine.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop new dessert and pastry menu items inspired by Indian flavors and ingredients
- Prepare and bake a variety of desserts, including cakes, pastries, cookies, and more
- Ensure all desserts are made to the highest quality standards
- Keep up-to-date with current culinary trends and techniques related to Indian cuisine
- Collaborate with other chefs to ensure a cohesive menu experience for guests
- Monitor inventory levels of pastry supplies and place orders as needed
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef specializing in Indian cuisine
- Strong knowledge of traditional Indian desserts, as well as modern twists on classic recipes
- Excellent decorating skills with the ability to create visually appealing pastries
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Passion for creating unique and delicious desserts
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Relevant culinary degree or certification preferred
Salary: $1200 per month. This is an excellent opportunity for foreign chefs looking to gain experience in the vibrant culinary scene of Los Angeles. No English language proficiency required. We welcome diversity in our workplace.
