Librarian for English-Speaking Library in Moscow


Our prestigious English-speaking library in Moscow is seeking a highly qualified and experienced librarian to join our team. We are looking for a native English speaker with a strong knowledge of literature and a passion for promoting reading and literacy. This full-time position requires someone with excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the library's collection of English-language books, including selection, cataloging, and shelving
- Assist patrons with locating materials and provide recommendations based on their interests
- Plan and coordinate library events, such as book clubs, reading challenges, and author visits
- Develop and implement programs to promote reading and literacy among all age groups
- Maintain accurate records of library transactions and patron accounts
- Collaborate with other librarians to ensure the smooth operation of the library

Requirements:
- Native English speaker with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Library Science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a library setting
- Strong knowledge of literature and current trends in reading materials
- Experience with cataloging systems and online databases preferred
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently under pressure
- Team player with strong customer service skills
