Head Chef - African Cuisine

We are in search of a skilled and experienced Head Chef with a passion for African cuisine to lead our kitchen team in Atlanta. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation, menu planning, and kitchen operations. You must have excellent knowledge of African cooking techniques and ingredients, as well as the ability to create unique and flavorful dishes that showcase the diverse flavors of Africa.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and create menus featuring authentic African dishes
- Oversee all aspects of food preparation, including cooking, seasoning, and plating
- Train and mentor kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and food safety standards
- Monitor food inventory and order supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Ensure dishes are prepared according to established recipes and portion sizes
- Collaborate with management to plan special events or promotions featuring African cuisine

Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef specializing in African cuisine
- Strong knowledge of African cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavor profiles
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate a team
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation regulations
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality standards
- Excellent communication skills with team members at all levels

Salary: $1300 per month (negotiable based on experience)

City: Atlanta (open to candidates from other cities within the United States)

Preference for nationality/location: Africans or individuals with experience working with African cuisine. However, we welcome applications from any skilled chef who shares our passion for showcasing the diverse flavors of Africa.
