Information Security Analyst
Intermediate Information Security Analyst
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Intermediate Information Security Analyst to join our fast-paced and innovative team in Dickirch. As an Intermediate Information Security Analyst, you will be responsible for assessing, implementing, and maintaining security measures to protect our organization's computer systems and networks. This role requires a thorough understanding of information security principles and practices, as well as the ability to analyze complex systems and identify potential vulnerabilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT security, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential threats and weaknesses in our systems
- Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards
- Monitor network activity for any suspicious or unauthorized behavior
- Investigate security breaches or incidents and initiate appropriate response actions
- Stay up-to-date on emerging security threats, technologies, and best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new security measures or resolve issues
- Provide training and guidance to other team members on information security best practices
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; relevant certifications (e.g. CISSP) are a plus
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in information security or related field
- In-depth knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, antivirus software, encryption technologies, etc.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 27001/27002, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, etc.
- Experience with vulnerability assessment tools such as Nessus or Metasploit is preferred
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify patterns and trends in data
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical audiences
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Must be able to obtain and maintain necessary security clearances as required by the organization
Salary: $1300 per month (negotiable based on experience)
Location: Dickirch, Canada (Candidates from other countries are welcome to apply, but must have valid work visa/permit)
