Executive Chef


We are seeking a talented and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at our 5-star hotel in Nakuru, Kenya. As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing our entire kitchen operations, creating innovative menus, and maintaining the highest level of food quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and create new menus that showcase local and international cuisine
- Oversee all kitchen operations including food preparation, cooking, and plating
- Manage inventory and control costs to ensure profitability
- Train and manage kitchen staff to maintain high levels of food quality and service
- Maintain a safe and hygienic working environment in the kitchen
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with other departments to plan events and special menus
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and incorporate them into our menu offerings

Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef in a high-end hotel or restaurant
- Diploma or degree in culinary arts or related field preferred
- Strong knowledge of local and international cuisine
- Ability to create innovative menus while maintaining profitability
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain high levels of food quality
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Salary:
Salary for this position is $1700 per month.

Benefits:
This is a seasonal job with a duration of 6 months. We provide free visa sponsorship, flight ticket reimbursement upon completion of contract, as well as medical insurance. Accommodation is not provided.
