Executive Chef
The Executive Chef will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen, including menu planning, food preparation, and staff management. They will work closely with the kitchen team to ensure high-quality and creative dishes are served in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will have prior experience as an Executive Chef and be able to lead a diverse team of chefs and kitchen staff. This is a contract job with accommodation provided, making it an ideal opportunity for freshers or those looking to gain international experience. The salary for this position is 1300$ per month.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create menus that are both innovative and cost-effective
- Oversee food preparation, ensuring quality and consistency
- Train and manage kitchen staff, delegating tasks as needed
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as necessary
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards
- Develop relationships with local suppliers for fresh ingredients
- Collaborate with restaurant management to ensure customer satisfaction
- Monitor food costs and make adjustments as needed
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an Executive Chef or Sous Chef in a high-volume restaurant or hotel setting
- Proven leadership skills and ability to manage a diverse team
- Strong understanding of culinary techniques and flavor profiles
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
- Culinary degree or certification from an accredited program
- Experience working in international settings
- Fluency in multiple languages
