Reference Librarian


We are seeking a highly organized and knowledgeable Reference Librarian to join our team at a prestigious library in Washington, USA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in library science, excellent research skills, and a passion for helping others find information. This is a full-time position with a salary of $1600 per month.

As a Reference Librarian, you will be responsible for providing assistance to library patrons in finding and accessing information resources. This may include using electronic databases, locating books and materials, and answering reference questions. You will also be responsible for maintaining the library's collection by cataloging new materials and updating records.

The successful candidate must have a Master's degree in Library Science or Information Science from an accredited institution. Prior experience working in a library setting is preferred. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will be interacting with patrons of all ages and backgrounds on a daily basis.

This position requires someone who is detail-oriented, able to work independently, and has excellent problem-solving skills. The ability to adapt to new technologies and changing environments is also crucial. Knowledge of library systems such as Dewey Decimal Classification or Library of Congress Classification is necessary.

We welcome applicants from all nationalities; however, preference will be given to Pakistani nationals who are fluent in English. This is not a remote position; therefore, candidates must be currently living in or willing to relocate to Washington.
