Florist Assistant

As a Florist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a senior florist to assist with the creation and preparation of floral arrangements for our clients. Your duties will include processing and arranging flowers, maintaining inventory, and assisting with customer service. This is a part-time position that is perfect for students who are passionate about flowers and looking to gain hands-on experience in the floral industry.

Responsibilities:
- Process and prepare flowers for arrangements
- Assist with creating floral designs for various occasions
- Maintain inventory and ensure all supplies are well-stocked
- Help with customer service by answering inquiries, taking orders, and providing recommendations
- Keep the shop clean and organized
- Assist with deliveries as needed
- Learn about different types of flowers, their care, and how to create various arrangements

Requirements:
- Passion for flowers and willingness to learn
- Creativity and attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Basic knowledge of flower care techniques preferred but not required
- Must be able to work on weekends or evenings if needed

Education/Experience:
No formal education or experience is required for this position. However, previous experience working in a flower shop or completing courses in floral design would be an asset.

Working Conditions:
This is a part-time position with flexible hours. The work will primarily be indoors, in a flower shop setting. The job may require standing for extended periods of time and lifting up to 20 pounds.

Salary:
The salary for this position is $1400 per month.
