We are looking for a skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team in Malindi, Kenya. As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen and ensuring the highest quality of food is delivered to our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and create menus that are innovative, appealing and meet the dietary needs of our guests.
- Manage the kitchen staff and provide training and guidance to ensure exceptional work standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed while maintaining budgetary goals.
- Ensure that all food prepared meets health code regulations and is presented in an attractive manner.
- Develop relationships with local suppliers to source fresh, quality ingredients.
- Collaborate with restaurant management to continuously improve customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Degree or certification in Culinary Arts or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef in a high volume establishment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train kitchen staff.
- Excellent knowledge of food preparation techniques, presentation styles, and menu planning.
- Up-to-date on industry trends and techniques.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Salary:
