Job Title: Executive Chef - Indian Cuisine (Malindi, Kenya)


We are in search of an experienced and talented Executive Chef specializing in Indian cuisine to join our team in Malindi, Kenya. The ideal candidate must have a passion for creating authentic and innovative dishes, and the ability to lead a team to deliver exceptional dining experiences.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and update menus featuring traditional Indian dishes with a modern twist
- Source high-quality ingredients and oversee food purchasing
- Manage kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation
- Train and supervise kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and food safety standards
- Monitor inventory levels and control food waste to maintain cost efficiency
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with restaurant management on creating new promotions or events featuring Indian cuisine

Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef specializing in Indian cuisine
- Extensive knowledge of traditional Indian spices, ingredients, and cooking techniques
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train kitchen staff
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Creativity and innovation in menu development while maintaining authenticity of dishes
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills to effectively work with other departments

Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts or related field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef specializing in Indian cuisine
- Proven track record of managing kitchen operations effectively
- Knowledge of Kenyan culture is an added advantage

Salary: $1600 per month (negotiable based on experience)
