Data-mining Specialist (Contract, Almada)


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data-mining Specialist to join our team in Almada on a contract basis. As a Data-mining Specialist, you will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and organizing large sets of data with the goal of identifying patterns and trends to inform business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize various data-mining techniques to extract valuable insights from large datasets
- Develop and implement data models and algorithms to support business needs
- Identify patterns and trends within data to inform decision-making processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide data-driven solutions
- Develop reports and visualizations to effectively communicate findings to stakeholders
- Monitor data quality and identify areas for improvement

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in data mining, analysis, or a similar role
- Proficient in SQL and other programming languages such as Python or R
- Strong understanding of statistical concepts and methods
- Experience working with large datasets using tools like Hadoop or Spark
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $900 per month for this contract position.

Location:
This position is located in Almada, Portugal. However, we are open to considering remote candidates who are willing to travel occasionally for team meetings.

As part of this contract position, we will provide you with a free visa and ticket for travel if you are not currently located in Almada.
