Data Mining Analyst

As a Data Mining Analyst, your primary responsibility will be to extract and analyze large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and insights that will inform business decisions. You will use statistical and analytical methods to clean, organize, and manipulate data in order to provide accurate and meaningful information for the company. Working closely with various departments, you will develop strategies and solutions to improve data collection processes and enhance data quality. You will also be responsible for creating reports, visualizations, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.

To excel in this role, you should have a strong background in mathematics, statistics, and computer science. Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, R or Python is essential. A keen eye for detail and strong problem-solving skills are also crucial for success in this position.

This is a part-time position based in Svalbard with the potential for remote work. The salary for this role is $1200 per month.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics or computer science

- Experience with data mining tools such as Tableau or Power BI is a plus
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to solve complex problems
- Detail-oriented with strong attention to accuracy
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively present findings
